A Single Man
George Falconer decides not to kill himself, only to drop dead of a heart attack because he didn't take his medication that day.
The main character, the Doctor, gets shot in San Francisco, goes to the hospital, and has one of his two hearts punctured by a stupid doctor who thinks he's lying when she says he has more than one heart. He regenerates into another Doctor. He's not dead at the end, he gets regenerated into the War Doctor via potion, although this is not shown until years later on the TV show revival.
Three of the four main characters die but get resurrected, but in the movie's final scene, all four of them are crushed by a giant wheel. Also, in an earlier scene, one of them has their heart removed and another one has their head kicked off, but both are fine again in the next scene.
I Am Legend
Will Smith runs into a herd of zombie things with a grenade.
During the first half of the movie, a young woman named Rose Elliott is the protagonist, but she is stabbed halfway through the movie. After her death, her brother becomes the main character. He survives.
Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV
Nyx Ulric, the main protagonist, willingly sacrifices his life to ensure that Lady Lunafreya escapes the city so she will be able to deliver the Ring of the Lucii to the prince so that he can take his rightful place as king.
Meet the Spartans
Leonidas, along his fellow warriors, dies as Xerxes, in a Transformers-like suit, falls right on them. In the movie's final scene, where the entire cast performs "I Will Survive", he is seen alive again, but among other characters who also died in more graphic ways. It's hard to say if this scene is canon.
Morgan is forcibly drowned in a lake.
Angel, one of the many characters the movie is following, dies from AIDS.
Sadako vs Kayako
Yuri (Mizuki Yamamoto) sacrifices herself in an attempt to stop both curses.
While Babydoll does not die physically, she eventually does get lobotomized and as a result of this becomes braindead. Sweet Pea, the other protagonist, survives and can escape the asylum/brothel.
Peter Neal, who is the protagonist throughout much of the film, before it is revealed towards the end that he took the identity of the killer and actually is the villain himself, gets impaled on a large metal rod falling from a statue. Before that, he kills Detective Germani, who is investing in the case and is something like the secondary protagonist, with an axe.
